Flash Fiction

Characterised by its brevity, flash fiction aims to create an effect in as few words as possible. These vignettes tend to be between 250 and 1,000 words, though often shorter – think what Hemmingway achieves in his 6-word story: ‘For sale: baby shoes, never worn.’
